Ringo McLennonSon was originally formed in the fall of 2006 as a band to pay tribute to the life and music of George Harrison. Singer and guitarist Tommy Anderson rounded up some of the finest musicians to play a musical tribute on November 29th 2006, the fifth anniversary of the death of George Harrison. The band includes Jimbo Gibbons (Dr. Bombay), Paul Richards (Grantman & The Island Beat), and Steve Golba on keyboards. The band also features "Tommy's Angels" - Sherry Golba & Sandy Foglesong. The girls bring both love and harmony to the band.
After playing shows featuring the music of George Harrison in November and John Lennon in December 2006, the band has gone on to play weekly shows at The Loft in Tempe, as well as perform at other events. Ringo performed in February 2007 for the city of Tempe in conjunction with the John Lennon Educational Tour Bus.
